Leader of the Aam Aadmi Party Raghav Chadha and Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra are now wed. On September 24, 2023, the pair wed in an opulent, fantasy-themed ceremony at The Leela Palace in Udaipur. Many people have been moved by their journey, which began with a chance encounter and ended with a lavish wedding. An inside look of their enchanted celebration is provided by Bridal Episode.
Engagement Rituals
Parineeti & Raghav’s engagement ceremony started at 5 in the evening with a Sukhmani Sahib Path and an Ardas at 6 p.m. The couple sought blessings from the divine for their journey ahead as a couple.
For their engagement ceremony, Parineeti chose the best in the game, Manish Malhotra and rightly so. She looked like a dream in her soft-pink kurta paired with pearl-adorned flair trousers and an ethereal signature Kashmiri threadwork dupatta. Her outfit was perfect for the occasion as it had a light summery vibe and she seemed quite comfortable in it as well. With her angelic engagement outfit, she wore exquisite uncut jewellery by Manish Malhotra. Her mang tikka and earrings were just the right sizes, complimenting her outfit very well. Raghav, on the other hand, wore a serene white bandhgala kurta pyjama by Pawan Sachdev and looked pretty handsome in it!
Parineeti & Raghav’s engagement was graced by their near and dear ones. Parineeti’s cousin sister, Priyanka Chopra shared some cute pictures from the happy occasion featuring their family members and wrote “Congratulations Tisha and Raghav… Cannot wait for the wedding! So happy for you both and the families❤️ so fun to catch up with the fam!”
The Wedding Festivities
The wedding festivities kicked off with a colorful Haldi ceremony and a welcoming feast called “Blooms and Bites.” On the much anticipated wedding day, Raghav had his “sehrabandi” in Lake Palace. The baraat arrived at the location in boats covered in curtains, giving the event an air of royalty. The pair, blessed by close relatives and friends, exchanged vows at dusk.
The Venue: The Leela Palace, Udaipur
The Leela Palace, Udaipur, provided the perfect backdrop for this grand celebration. Known for its luxurious ambiance and stunning views of Lake Pichola, the venue embodied the fairy-tale essence of Parineeti and Raghav’s wedding. The palatial setting, with its intricate architecture and serene gardens, added an extra layer of enchantment to the festivities.
Chadha-Chopra War
The couple organised a unique pre-wedding event which saw their families and friends challenge each other in fun games and sports ahead of their September 24 wedding. The attendees played lemon-and-spoon race, musical chairs, giant Jenga, cricket and other games at the event.
Haldi Ceremony
Parineeti looked absolutely gorgeous as she slipped into a cherry-red-hued co-ord set, which she teamed with the same-colored jacket. She styled the outfit with golden details for what was her haldi ceremony. Parineeti styled it with floral chandelier earrings and a headband made of white pearls. With light makeup, dangling earrings, and a stone-studded matha patti, Parineeti completed her look. Raghav, on the other hand, complemented his wifey in a white-hued kurta and completed his look with a pair of cool sunnies.
Sangeet
Parineeti and Raghav Chadha’s sangeet was a 90s theme party with old Bollywood tracks being played for couple and the guests. The couple dazzled in vibrant outfits for their sangeet. While Raghav chose a black outfit for the night, Parineeti wore a shimmery outfit with a trench coat, looking lovely as ever. She accentuated her look with statement jewelry and a minimalistic look.
The music list and the entire evening has been curated by Parineeti herself. At the entrance, there are cassettes with name of guests written with a special message written for them by actress herself.
Chooda Ceremony
Styled by Shraddha Lakhani and Nidhi Agarwal for the chooda function— a customary ritual followed in north that revolves around putting the wedding bangles stack on the bride— Chopra wore a bright yellow, flowy anarkali set with a crew neckline, three-fourth sleeves and heavy silver embroidery featured on the border of the dupatta and bottom of the suit. The multi-coloured dupatta in complementary colours adds a subtle pop of colour since the body of the anarkali is minimal. Another sheer yellow hued veil was used to cover Parineeti’s head. She paired her outfit with the bubblepink bangle stack laced with kundan and pearls from Mrinalini Chandra. Additionally, the bangles were covered with customised powder pink covers featuring pearls, and the bride and groom’s initials embroidered on it.
The Big Day
In her handmade champagne gold Manish Malhotra lehenga, which took 2500 hours to make, Parineeti Chopra looked like a fairy tale. The lehenga was gracefully worn with a mesh top that had pearls all over the sleeves, and it was embellished with metal sequins and Nakshi embroidery. The pearl-studded tulle structure dupatta draped across her chest and the long-trailing veil with Raghav’s name stitched in Devanagari script completed her ensemble. With her luminous matte finish, bronze-hued and kohl-lined eyes, and pink nude lip, Parineeti’s makeup was a breath of fresh air. Her exquisite and classic appearance was enhanced by the middle-parted open hairstyle she wore. Raghav Chadha accessorized Parineeti’s bridal splendor with an ivory white sherwani designed by Pawan Sachdeva and a delicate pearl necklace placed on top. A traditional safa turban worn with a kalgi completed his elegant attire and gave him a truly royal air.
Another standout piece of Parineeti’s bridal jewelry was her multi-tiered necklace made of uncut Russian and Zambian emeralds with an antique polish. It was worn with matching earrings, a maang tikka, and hathphool. A personal touch was provided by her pink chooda and personalized kaleeras designed by Mrinalini Chandra, each motif signifying a pivotal milestone in their love tale. Parineeti’s simple mehndi design was the ideal match to her wedding style. Her stylish sense was reflected in the delicate and flowing patterns.
Wedding Reception
The reception was held soon after the wedding ceremony. While, Raghav opted for a black tuxedo, Parineeti radiated bridal glow in a blush pink saree from Manish Malhotra, which was paired it with a one-side cape sleeve. The new bride finished off her look with emerald and polki jewellery, pink wedding chooda and sindoor.
The union of Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha was the epitome of elegance, tradition, and love. Every aspect of the spectacular décor, the fine details of their costumes, and the lovely Leela Palace came together to create a magical and unforgettable occasion. Their wedding serves as a monument to their love and the mythical romance that has enthralled admirers everywhere, as the couple sets off on the new path united.
